The New America School in Eagle Valley opened in September 2007 and currently serves
nearly 100 students. The campus, located in Gypsum, serves the entire Eagle Valley
area. School bus service is available for day students, and night students can receive
ECO bus passes. The campus offers a full curriculum of day and night classes for
students wanting to study English and work toward their high school diploma.
The New America School in Eagle Valley is a small school that provides individualized
attention to its students. A counselor assists students in their academic planning.
In addition, there are three night school locations for students wanting to study
English only. Night classes will run Monday-Thursday, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. The locations
are Avon Elementary in Avon; Berry Creek Middle School in Edwards; and Leadville
classes to be conducted Monday and Wednesday evenings at the Mountain View West
trailer park in the community room, and Tuesday and Thursday nights in the Student
Resource room on the Colorado Mountain College Campus.
