The Aurora/Denver campus, also called the Lowry campus for its location on the former Lowry Air Force Base, is the largest of The New America School campuses.

It opened in August 2004, and has grown today to serve more than 400 students. In addition to Principal Scott Nuanes, Lowry has about 20 teachers, an assistant principal, a dean of students, two academic counselors and three office staff.

The Lowry campus features a relationship with the Community College of Aurora, in which NAS students who qualify can take classes, free of charge.

The Lowry campus initially assesses students on their English Language Acquisition, as well as their educational background and experiences, and strives to place students in classes at the appropriate language and academic level. We realize that English language learners grasp the language at different rates, and therefore our school's mission is to provide an individualized education for our students. At the Lowry campus, we offer a variety of ELA classes ranging from one hour to four hours, depending on the student's English level. We pride ourselves on the value we place on building relationships with students, and realize the importance of student/teacher relationships on academic success.

In addition to its dedicated administrators, teachers, and staff, Lowry is proud of its school paper NAS OutLoud!
